Top 10 Scholarships in Europe for Bangladeshi Students

In order to build a better career, the thought of every student is to study abroad at a low cost. Almost every student who wants to pursue higher education dreams of getting admission in a good university in Europe. European countries top the list of students’ choices for studying abroad. 1. Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program
This is a very popular scholarship offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of France. Master’s programs of 12 months to 36 months duration and 10 months PhD courses are financed under this scholarship.

Under this scholarship, opportunities are available to study Engineering, Law, Management, Political Science and Economics. The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program covers the cost of a monthly allowance, return trips, cultural activities and health insurance. Students can apply up to 30 years from developing countries at postgraduate level and up to 35 years from developing and industrialized countries for PhD programmed.

2. The Swedish Institute Scholarship
was an opportunity to study at universities in Sweden without tuition fees until 2012. Since then payment of tuition fee has been made compulsory there. However, there is an opportunity to study in Sweden without any funds if you get a scholarship from a Swedish institute. Those who are interested in doing their Masters in Sweden can try for this scholarship. Scholarships from Swedish institutes cover living expenses, insurance and travel expenses in addition to tuition fees. Students from several countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Indonesia can apply for this scholarship.

3. Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship
Switzerland offers foreign students the opportunity to study on the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded for pursuing post-doctoral or doctoral research. In this scholarship, students get various benefits including tuition fee, monthly allowance, health insurance. Every year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and more than 180 other countries. Young researchers with bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees are selected by the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) for Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships. 4. Rhodes Scholarship
Rhodes Scholarship is one of the oldest and most prestigious international scholarships. The scholarship was established in 1902 through the bequest of Cecil John Rhodes. Which gives talented young people from around the world the opportunity to study in postgraduate programs at Oxford University. The Rhodes Scholarship covers all university expenses, personal stipend, health insurance and airfare.

5. Gates Cambridge Scholarship
The Gates Cambridge University Scholarship was established in October 2000. Microsoft CEO and founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda Gates donated 220 million USD to the University of Cambridge from their ‘Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’. Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge.
 
This scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge. Additional allowance is given to the students. The university also covers composition fees, airfare and visa costs. A total of 90 seats are reserved in this scholarship for non-European citizens.

6. Radboud Scholarship University Scholarship Program
Radboud Scholarship Full or partial scholarships for master’s degree programs at the University of Nijmegen are offered through the Radboud Scholarship Program. Meritorious students from countries other than the European Union Economic Area are considered eligible for this scholarship. In addition to partial cost waivers, there are full tuition fee waivers and living expenses waivers. The Radwood Scholarship also covers expenses such as visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance.

7. Developing Solutions Scholarship
Under this scholarship, students from Bangladesh, India, Africa or Commonwealth countries are given the opportunity to study in a postgraduate program at the University of Nottingham. Developing Solutions Scholarships awards 105 scholarships each year. Out of which 30 scholarships cover full tuition fee and 75 cover half tuition fee.

The University of Nottingham is a public research university located in Nottingham, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1881 as Nottingham University College. Later in 1948, the university was granted a royal charter. Nottingham’s main campus (University Park) and teaching hospital (Queen’s Medical Centre) are located on the outskirts of Nottingham. 8. Dad Scholarship in Germany
One of the scholarships in Germany is Dad Scholarship. Dud started their operations in 1925. These scholarships fund approximately 150,000 students each year. For those who wish to pursue higher education in Germany on scholarship, the DAAD Scholarship is a great opportunity. The Germany Academic Exchange Service, abbreviated as DAAD Scholarship.

This scholarship is offered for master’s and Ph.D. Masters or PhD can be done for 10 to 14 months in this scholarship. About one and a half lakh students are funded every year in this scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition fee, examination fee, monthly allowance (PhD 1200 Euro, master’s 861 Euro), flight ticket, health insurance, house rent and monthly allowance for family members.

9. Italian Government Scholarships
There are opportunities to study in Italian universities at a cost of 1,000 to 2,500 euros per year. A scholarship there will provide tuition fee waivers as well as living expenses. Universities offer scholarships for degree courses, PhD courses and postgraduate degrees. These benefits are for a period of 3, 6 or 9 months depending on the case. In some cases the duration of the scholarship is longer.

10. Helmut Veith Scholarship in Austria
The Helmut Veith Scholarship gives foreign students the opportunity to study in Austria. You will get the opportunity to study at the Vienna University of Technology in the country with this scholarship. This university is giving opportunity to female students to study post-graduation in computer science and engineering completely free of charge.
