Higher education abroad is a dream of talented students around the world, and the role of scholarships in fulfilling that dream is immense. The Fulbright Scholarship of the United States is a great opportunity for Bangladeshi students. Every year, the United States government provides this scholarship, which is not only helpful in higher education, but also in developing international relations and acquiring professional skills.
Like every year, the United States has invited applications for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program 2026-27 session for foreign students. Under this education program, Bangladeshi undergraduate students and young professionals will have the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in the United States completely free of charge. Applications can be made until May 17, 2025, 11:59 PM Bangladesh time.
Preference will be given to junior faculty members currently working in higher education institutions in Bangladesh, junior to mid-level officials working in government and private research institutions, intellectual organizations, and NGOs. The Fulbright Program is the government’s international educational exchange program aimed at promoting mutual understanding between the United States and other countries around the world.
Under the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, approximately 4,000 students from 155 countries around the world each year have the opportunity to earn Master’s and PhD degrees at the best universities and educational institutions in the United States.
Facilities—
Will provide J-1 visa assistance.
Will pay for round-trip airfare.
Will pay tuition fees.
A monthly stipend will be provided to cover living expenses and incidental expenses.
Will provide allowance for purchasing books.
Will provide health and accident insurance.
Travel and baggage allowance will be provided.
Application Eligibility—
Must have a minimum of a four-year bachelor’s degree with outstanding results from a recognized public or private university in Bangladesh.
Candidates must not have previously received a degree from an American university or are not currently enrolled in any educational program in the United States.
Not have previously obtained a master’s degree from any country other than Bangladesh (however, those who have obtained a master’s degree from Bangladesh will be considered eligible);
Must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a field relevant to the subject you wish to study.
Must be fluent and proficient in English. Must have a minimum score of 90 on TOEFL iBT or a minimum score of 7 on IELTS.
Must be in good health.
Must be a Bangladeshi citizen residing in Bangladesh at the time of application.

TOEFL/IELTS score documents.
GRE or GMAT scores are also required for admission to a graduate degree program in the United States. If an applicant has already taken the GRE or GMAT, they must submit information about their scores on those tests with their online application.
