In order to create the required number of actuaries in the country, the Department of Financial Institutions (Insurance Branch) of the Ministry of Finance is offering scholarships for postgraduate studies in actuarial science and actuarial management in Britain in the academic year 2024-25. Bangladeshis can apply for this scholarship. Last date of application is 31 March 2024, 5 PM.
Application Qualifications
Must have an unconditional offer letter (full time) from Cass Business School (now known as The Business School), City University of London, UK for the master’s in actuarial science degree. Applications with Conditional Offer Letter – will be considered cancelled.
- Applicant age limit should be maximum 35 years as on March 31 of this year.
- Age limit is 40 for own candidates working in Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority, General Insurance Corporation, Life Insurance Corporation and National Pension Authority, but age limit is relax able for module wise applicants.
- In the case of Government Servants, employment must be permanent, and any Master’s degree completed abroad after joining the service will be disqualified.

- 3 recent passport size color photographs.
- All educational qualification certificates.
- Attested copy of examination markship/grade points.
- Copy of National Identity Card.
- Attested copy of passport.
- Attested copy of TOEFL, IELTS (Academic) test results.

The application form for the scholarship program should be downloaded from the website of Financial Institutions Department and Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority of the Ministry of Finance. Filled application form along with necessary documents should be submitted in hard copy by registered post or directly to the following address within the stipulated time.
