China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), a renowned international construction company, is seeking the position of Deputy Project Manager for the DWASA sewage network project package WD5B in Bangladesh.
Position Title: Deputy Project Manager
Office Location: 11th Floor, Gulfeshan plaza, Mogbazar, Dhaka-1217 Bangladesh
Project Location: Dhaka (Arambagh, Paltan, Shahidbag, Motijheel)
Requirements:
Educational Background: Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a proven track record in a Deputy Project Manager (DPM) role.
Project Experience: Prior involvement in projects based in Dhaka City.
Proficiency in Auto CAD, Microsoft Office programs and other necessary software.
Familiarity with the Federation Internationale Des Ingenieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) conditions of contract.
Familiarity with construction industry systems, with the ability to coordinate key aspects such as project management, quality management, safety management, progress management and cost management.
Job Responsibilities:
To support the Project Manager with delivering and developing the service, deputizing for the Project Manager in his absence.
Serve as the focal point for liaison and coordination with the client regarding project matters
Implementation of approved project plans (including establishing milestones) within tolerances set by the Project Implementation Documents.
Effective implementation of corporate directives, guidelines, and strategies, and establishment of relevant management targets, as well as monitoring of achievements/results
Support the Project Management Specialist in the preparation of all program-related documentation, particularly, Quarterly Reports, Monthly Progress Reports, Annual Reports, Handover Reports
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communication, ensuring effective timing and interdependency management of communications. Ensure stakeholders are aware of project activities, progress, and exceptions and are in a position to accept handover outputs.
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure projects comply with audit requirements, procurement/purchasing staff to ensure effective interface with suppliers’ quality systems
Coordinate quality reviews of project documents & deliverables, and provide quality control for management outputs (project documents, reports, etc.)
To manage and develop staff following together’s performance management and ensure their involvement in the continuous improvement of the service
Embed sustainability dimensions including social and gender inclusion, environmental and economic aspects into the project lifespan.
