The Government of Sweden offers full-funded scholarships to international students to study postgraduate programs.
The scholarship will be awarded to those selected under the Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals (SI Scholarship). Students from 31 countries including Bangladesh can apply online by 26 February 2025.
Most universities in Sweden offer various scholarships, which allow you to study for free. The Swedish Institute (SI) offers scholarships for over 750 Master’s programs for international students.
The duration of the postgraduate program on this fully funded scholarship is one or two years. To apply for an SI scholarship, you must first apply for admission to a master’s program in Sweden. If someone gets the scholarship, the studies will start in the fall semester of 2025.
Facilities—
To pay 12 thousand Swedish kroner (about 1 lakh 33 thousand 326 Taka in Bangladeshi Taka) per month for living expenses.
Will provide health insurance.
Will grant 15 thousand Swedish krona for travel.
Access to membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals and membership in the SI Alumni Network, which allows for a strong network.
Application Eligibility—
Must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
Must have a bachelor’s degree and be proficient in English.
Content and presentation of CV, motivation, reference etc. must be first class.
The postgraduate program applied for must be eligible for an SI scholarship.
You must have confirmed admission to a Swedish university and received an offer letter by January 2025.
It is not necessary to apply if you have previously obtained a degree from a Swedish university or college.
Necessary documents—
CV (in the form prescribed by the Swedish Institute).
Letters of reference (in the form prescribed by the Swedish Institute).
Work experience and leadership credentials (in the form prescribed by the Swedish Institute).
Copy of valid passport and national identity card.
