Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation Asia and Oceania Private Limited will provide scholarships to 10 regular students of Dhaka University. For this, Dhaka University has invited applications in the prescribed form from the regular students who are admitted in the first-year honors class of the academic year 2021-2022. The last date for submission of applications is January 9, 2025. A notice in this regard has been published on the website of Dhaka University.
According to the notification, this scholarship is renewable for the next 3 years subject to good conduct, satisfactory progress in studies and regular studies. The scholarships of the students will be finally selected by Sumitomo Corporation Asia and Oceania Private Limited.
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination in 2021 can apply for the scholarship. Applicants will have to get GPA 4.80 in SSC and 4.80 in HSC except for the 4th subject.
Application forms can be collected from room number 212 in the education-5 branch of the registrar’s office. The application form should be filled properly and submitted to the education-5 branch (room number-212) of the registrar’s office with signature, seal of the respective department chairman / director of the institute and hall provost.
Application Conditions –
The applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
A certificate in English from the Chairman of the Department / Director of the Institute that financial assistance is required for studies should be submitted with the application.
The student must be under 30 years of age on January 31, 2025.
No other private scholarship student equivalent to the scholarship of Sumitomo Corporation Asia and Oceania Private Limited will be considered eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Two sets of applications (one copy photocopy) should be submitted by typing / filling in the prescribed application form (including one copy of color photographs and number sheets);
