Some of them are for higher education, some for work and some for travel. Today we will know about France visa application process. There are several steps to go through when applying for a visa from Bangladesh to France. And different types of documents are required.
- Determining the type of visa
You must first select the category of visa you wish to apply for.
In case of student visa should have offer letter from university. For visa appointment should be made first by e-mailing the embassy. If you arrive at the embassy with all the documents, another appointment will be given for the second time on the same day. After submitting all the visa documents, you need to wait at least three weeks to get the visa.
France offers two types of visas for work. A short-term visa that is valid for less than ninety days. Long-term visas are valid for more than one year.
For tourist visas Schengen Visit Visa (Short Stay) for France is granted for tourism, business, or visiting family and friends. Therefore, depending on the purpose and duration of your trip, you need to decide which type of visa you will apply for.

Flight Booking: Confirmed flight tickets to and from France.
Hotel Reservation: Hotel booking or accommodation during stay in France.
Insurance: Travel health insurance, which will cover up to at least 30,000 euros for the duration of your entire stay in the Schengen area.
Proof of financial ability: Proof of sufficient funds for your travel and duration of stay in France. This can be a bank statement, employment certificate, or sponsorship letter.
Cover Letter: A letter detailing the purpose and details of your trip.
Visa Fee: Deposit of prescribed visa fee.

Opening-Closing Schedule:
The Embassy is open daily from 9.00am-5.00pm except Fridays and Saturdays.
And the visa department is open from Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
5. Provision of Biometric Information
You are required to provide biometric information (fingerprint and photograph) at the time of visa application submission at the Embassy.
6. Interview
You may be required to undergo an interview before the visa is approved. In this case, a visa officer will ask you about the purpose of your trip to France and other relevant information.
7. Visa Processing
It usually takes 14 to 21 working days for France visa application results to be notified. But in some cases it may take more time.
8 Collecting passport
You will be notified by mail if your visa is approved or rejected, and you will be asked to collect your passport. You need to collect it from the French Embassy.

Cost
How much it will cost to go to France depends on the visa category, the duration of the visa. France generally offers student visas, travel visas, work visas and tourist visas. If you stay in Bangladesh with a France work permit visa, the cost will be around 4 lakh rupees minimum. However, if you go on student and tourist visa, the cost is less. The estimated cost of tourist visa is around 3 lakh rupees and student visa will require approximately 3 to 4.5 lakh BDT.
