Job Description: Junior Engineer-Civil
Position Overview:
The Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Construction Department plays a crucial role in supporting various aspects of construction projects, assisting senior engineers and project managers in planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering activities. They contribute to the successful completion of construction projects by providing technical expertise, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
01. Project Planning and Coordination: Assist senior engineers and project managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for civil engineering activities. Participate in project meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Site Investigation and Analysis: Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements, site conditions, and environmental factors. Assist in analyzing geological, topographical, and other relevant data to inform the design and construction process.
02. Construction Supervision: Assist in supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain project schedule and quality.
Quality Assurance and Control: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement quality control measures and inspections during the construction process. Participate in testing and inspection of construction materials and components to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
03. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety regulations and protocols on construction sites to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns or violations in coordination with site supervisors and safety officers.
04. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
· 2-3 years of experience in engineering, construction, or related field (entry-level position).
· Basic knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
· Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to the success of construction projects.
